The cause of simple kidney cysts is not fully found out, but they do not appear to be inherited. Generally, male may have this disease normally, and also almost half of all people over 50 have one or more simple cysts in the kidneys. The size of these cysts may also increase with age.
Simple Kidney Cyst Symptoms
In general, simple kidney cysts do not have obvious symptoms. In most cases, a doctor finds them during an ultrasoundor computerized tomography scan done for another reason. However, if they enlarge and press on other organs, simple kidney cysts may cause pain in your side, back, or upper abdomen. It can also cause bleed, impair kidney function. Sometimes may cause fever, chills, or other signs of infection. Simple kidney cysts have been associated with high blood pressure.
