1.When learned about bilateral renal atrophy first considering it is the congenital renal dysplasia and then will think about end-stage kidney disease ,that is kidney failure 、uremia or some acute kidney diseases ,such as acute glomerular disease,diabetic cirrhosis,renal transplant rejection,chronic glomerular nephritis,renal cortical necrosis,Alport syndrome,acute tubular necrosis .

2.Bilateral kidney or unilateral kidney shrink is the cause of chronic pyelonephritis ,and it is also the common reasons of bilateral renal atrophy .

3.Generally speaking , when chronic kidney disease develop into renal insufficiency especially kidney failure 、uremia ,the serum creatinine 、urea nitrogen will rise ,the kidney injury serious , renal parenchymal will get damaged ,kidney will shrink .So remind the patients with bilateral renal atrophy must pay more attention to this disease ,because kidney disease have a strong latent ,if the glomerular filtration rate is lower than 50% ,that is the kidney injury in severe clinical symptoms to produce accordingly .After the bilateral kidney diagnosed ,patients must actively looking for the reasons so as to check the disease .
