The common food which contain more than 250milligram K every hundred grams of food are listed as follows: fresh peas, lentils, potatoes, yam, lotus root and water chestnut, Chinese cabbage, rape, spinach, amaranth, asparagus lettuce, green garlic, leeks, cauliflower, yellow tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, fungus, tremella, black fungus, kelp, laver, pomelo, peach, apricot, jujube, red fruits, bananas, etc. These food are not suitable for high creatinine patients.
The common food which contain 150 to 250milligram K every hundred grams of food are listed as follows: fresh cowpea, taro, carrot, green radish, sweet pink-fleshed radish, carrot, Chinese cabbage, cabbage, crowndaisy chrysanthemum, celery, leek, orange, duck pear, persimmon, etc.
The common food which contain less than 150milligram K every hundred grams of food are listed as follows: onion, pumpkin, zucchini, wax gourd, eggplant, watermelon, apple, pear, red xiaoli, pineapple and so on.
Don’t eat too much high phosphorus food.
The common food which contain too much phosphorus are mainly sea food: animal organs, sesame, peanut, walnut, honey, yolk, tea and some dried fruit, etc.
the protein supplement
Try to consume high quality protein, here, the high quality protein refers to animal protein, such as lean meat, egg white, and fish; avoid vegetable protein, such as soy beans.
For renal failure people with high creatinine level, they should pay attention to vitamin supplements, should select food rich in vitamin A, vitamin B2 and vitamin C. If they have severe swelling, high blood pressure and even heart failure, they should control salt strictly.
If patients have swelling, they should limit the water intake. More severe the swelling is, more water intake should be controlled.
Also, don't eat stimulating foods such as sour or spicy food. Give up smoking and drinking.
